New feature: heatmaps

Heatmaps let you see patterns of movement within your stores using a color spectrum: red to indicate lots of activity, while blue/purple areas indicate little or no activity.

You can change the timeframe to show a single date or include a range of dates, and you can choose 2 different timeframes to enable A/B or before/after comparisons--this is useful for evaluating changes to a product display or floorplan.

To view your heatmaps:

  1. Tap on the flame icon in the upper right corner of the Spotchecker app.
  2. Tap the calendar icon that appears.
  3. Tap the date (or dates) you'd like to include in your map.
    • Tap a number on the calendar to select a single date
    • Slide your finger across the calendar to select a date range.
  4. Tap Done.
  5. The calendar control closes and your heatmaps appear.

To compare heatmaps from two different dates (or date ranges):

  1. Tap on the heatmap thumbnail.
  2. Tap the calendar icon that appears.
  3. Heatmap A's calendar appears first.  Tap the date (or slide to select dates) to include in Heatmap A.
  4. Tap Heatmap B.
  5. Tap the date (or slide to select dates) to include in Heatmap B.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. The calendar control closes and your heatmaps appear.
